Odisha Capital hottest place on earth

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Capital city was the hottest place in the world today by recording 44.2 degrees Celsius. According to the data provided by www.ogimet.com, Baripada in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha was the second hottest place at 43.6 degrees Celsius.

Balasore was another place of Odisha which featured among the list of hottest places in the world by recording maximum temperature at 43 degrees Celsius.

According to the data provided by the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar with today’s highest temperature 44.2 degrees Celsius broke all-time record for the month of March since its establishment in 1948. The Odisha Capital earlier recorded 42.2 degrees Celsius on March 21, 2016.

As many as 13 places in Odisha today recorded maximum temperature above 41 degrees Celsius.

Other places in the State which recorded maximum temperature above 41 degrees Celsius were Baripada 43.6, Balasore 43, Chandbali 42.6, Talcher 42.5, Malkangiri, Gajapati and Boudh 42.

Angul registered 41.7 degrees Celsius, Bolangir and Bhawanipatna at 41.5 and Titlagarh and Nayagarh 41.2, the Regional Meteorological Centre added.
