Odisha Capital reports 580 COVID-19 cases in highest single-day spike

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Capital city today registered a highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases. A record 580 positive cases were recorded in the city in last 24 hours.

Of them the number of local contact cases was 359 while the number of quarantine cases was at 221.

Two positive cases were having travel history to places outside the State. So far, as many as 11,853 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the city.

A total of 316 COVID-19 patients recovered from the virus infection today taking the recovery count to 7251.

While 45 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the disease, the number of active cases stands at 4545.
