Odisha CB files chargesheets against Sarathi Baba in two cases

Odisha Crime Branch (CB) police today filed charge sheet in two cases against self-proclaimed godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Kumar Raul, Crime Branch sources revealed.

Out of the two charge sheets filed against Sarathi Baba by the Crime Branch, one is on the FIR filed by the controversial woman medico.

Apart from Sarathi Baba and his foster son Satyam, charge sheets have been filed against four others by the Crime Branch.

The accused have been charged under sections 120 (B), 420, 467, 468, 506, 423, 406, 379, 411, 341, 212, 413 and 34 of IPC apart from being charged under SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and section 25 of the Arms Act.

While the accused have been charged under sections 384, 506, 211, 120(B), 342, 343, 347, 365 and 508 of the IPC in the case filed by the controversial young medico in one charge sheet, Sarathi Baba and two other women have been also chargesheeted under section 3 (ii) of the SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
