Odisha CB grills Pradeep Panigrahi’s close aide in job fraud case

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch (CB) which is probing the illegal financial transition between Pathaks and expelled BJD leader Pradeep Panigrahi, yesterday interrogated the MLA’s close aide Sarbeswar Rao, in connection with the alleged job fraud.

Rao, who was reportedly absconding, is the former Principal of City College in Berhampur.

Meanwhile, Gopalpur MLA and former Minister Pradeep Panigrahi was produced before court as his remand period ended today. He was taken to Capital Hospital here for a medical checkup before being taken to the court.

The CB had taken him on a two-day remand from December 15. The  officials grilled him about the transaction made in his bank account.

Sources said the CB officials asked him as to why he sent huge amount of money to Akash Pathak’s account and source of the money. He was also questioned about the allegation of fraud in the name of Tata Motors.
