Odisha CBSE result row: Parents’ body withdraws hunger strike

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Abhibhabak Mahasangha, the parents’ body which had staged hunger strike yesterday protesting the discrepancies in the publication of CBSE Class-XII results, called off the strike today.

However, it has decided to continue with the dharna in front of the board’s regional office at Saheed Nagar here till fulfillment of their 6-point charter of demands.

Demanding CBI probe into the alleged fiasco in publication of results and re-evaluation of answer sheets, the parents’ body had resorted to hunger strike before the regional office yesterday.

Notably, results of some students in Bhubaneswar zone of the board have been kept withheld.

Similarly, many students have complained of faulty evaluation leading to their poor marks.
