Odisha: CET Math professor arrested for possessing disproportionate assets

Bhubaneswar: Dr Prasana Kumar Mishra, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at College of Engineering and Technology (CET) in Ghatikia area here, was today arrested by the Odisha Vigilance for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Officers of the anti-corruption agency had yesterday detected movable and immovable properties worth Rs 2.19 crore, including disproportionate assets of over Rs 1.88 crore, in the name of Mishra.

Below are the details of the assets of Mishra traced by the Vigilance:

Raids were yesterday conducted by Vigilance officials at Mishra’s residence located at Khandagiribari under Khandagiri police limits in the capital city, his under construction four storied building at Khandagiribari, his village at Kalupada ghat in Khordha district, and office rooms of Mishra and his wife Supriya Mishra, lecturer in Biotechnology, CET.
