Odisha: Chandbali MLA tests COVID positive

Bhubaneswar: Chandbali MLA Byomakesh Ray has tested positive for COVID-19, the legislator informed today. His condition was stable.

Ray urged those who came in contact with him to be cautious and isolate themselves. “I am sad that I am unable to serve the flood-affected people of Chandbali,” he said.

Earlier, Pottangi MLA Pitam Padhi, Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick, Rural Development, Labour and Employees’ State Insurance Minister Susanta Singh, Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, Khandapada MLA and Editor of ‘Sambad’ Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Polasara MLA Srikant Sahu, Remuna MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar Parida and Salepur MLA Prasant Behera had tested positive for the virus.
