Odisha: Chief Minister asks party MLAs to attend winter session regularly

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik asked party MLAs to attend winter session of the State Assembly regularly and participate in the proceedings.

“We are always ready to debate issues of in the floor of House and welcome constructive suggestions,” said Patnaik at the legislature party meeting a day ahead of the winter session of the State Assembly.

Mentioning about the party’s victory during the recently concluded bye-elections to Balasore and Tirto Assembly Constituencies, Patnaik said the bye-poll results have once again proved that people continue to love the party’s ideology and the good work done by the State Government.

“In spite of the pandemic situation and less voter turnout in Tirtol, our wining margin in both the bye-elections have been substantially increased. The results are a reminder of our growing commitment to serve the people of Odisha and our dedication to public welfare. I sincerely thank the people of Balasore and Tirtol, especially women voters, who despite the COVID situation came in large numbers to bless us in the bye-elections,” the Chief Minister added.

Patnaik stressed on protecting the interest of the farmers and all the interventions will be focused towards their welfare. “Loans and assistance to our farmers, women SHGs and MSMEs will be our key to boost the economy,” he said.
