Odisha Chief Secy orders action against engineers who consumed liquor in office

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary PK Jena has directed the Water Resources department to initiate stern action against two engineers of the department who were found consuming liquor at Narayanpur section office in Kendrapara district a few days ago.

The two engineers have been engaged in the Mahanadi North Division of the Water Resources department, sources said.

The two engineers along with a few others allegedly consumed liquor at Narayanpur section office of Water Resources department a few days ago. A purported video of the incident went viral on social media.

Someone from the locality had reportedly recorded the video in his mobile phone and uploaded the same on social media, sources said.

“The Chief Secretary has directed the department to initiate appropriate action against the two engineers,” said a source.
