Odisha chit fund scam: 16 AT Group accused produced in special CBI court

The CBI which is probing the multi-thousand crore mega chit fund scam in Odisha on Supreme Court orders produced 16 accused persons arrested by it for their alleged links with ponzi firm Artha Tatwa (AT) Group at the special CBI court here today amid tight security.

Among them were BJD’s Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy, AT Group chief Pradeep Kumar Sethy, Mumbai based model Preeti Bhatia, newspaper owners Madhu Mohanty and Bikash Swain and builder Sagar Ray.

The court after fixing their next date of appearance for January 12 next year sent them back to Jharpada jail here.
