Odisha chit fund scam: CBI grills Mumbai model Preeti Bhatia again on AT links

Mumbai-based model and television serial producer Preeti Bhatia was interrogated by the CBI in connection with the Odisha chit fund scam for the second time in three days today. She reached the CBI office here this morning in the company of her mother this morning.

Bhatia had been grilled for nearly three hours about her alleged links with the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group and its CMD Pradeep Sethy on Tuesday.

It may be mentioned that the CBI, during the course of its investigation in the mega chit fund scam in the AT Group company, had found strong business links between Bhatia and Sethy.

Sources in the CBI said that Preeti Bhatia, Pradeep Sethy and Indu Dewan were directors in a company called Prism Heights Films & Entertainment Private Limited with its registered office at Santa Cruz (West) area in Mumbai.

Later, the agency had raided Bhatia’s house in Mumbai last month.

The CBI, while interrogating Mumbai stock broker Deepak Pareek, who was arrested in Mumbai last month, had got information that the AT Group had splurged crores on rave parties in Mumbai where film and TV stars, including Sunny Leone, had entertained the top functionaries of this chit fund company.
