Two teams of the central investigative agency raided a flat in Chandrama Apartments Complex in Kharavel Nagar area of the capital city.
While the CBI did not conduct any raid on Subhankar’s own flat in the apartment complex, it quizzed the owner of a flat in ‘D’ block of the apartment complex which Subhankar had taken on rent.
CBI sleuths also questioned the president and secretary of the ‘D’ block flat owners’ association for long hours inside the association’s office premises.
However, CBI officials refrained from making any statements to the media about the raid.
Notably, Subhankar who was arrested by the CBI on November 18, 2014, is currently lodged in the Jharpada Circle jail here.
The CBI during the raid before his arrest had seized several incriminating documents, a tell-all diary, besides, two gold biscuits and Rs 15 lakh in cash.
It is learnt that he was an influence peddler and had acted as the middleman between Seashore Group and top bureaucrats.
