Odisha chit fund scam commission’s tenure extended by 6 months

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has extended the tenure of Justice MM Das Commission of Inquiry, which is probing the multi-crore chit fund scam in the state, by six months.

The tenure was earlier scheduled to end on August 4, a notification of the Home Department said.

The commission had last month submitted its seventh interim report to the Odisha Government. Worth mentioning, 497844 small investors have been identified by the commission till date.
