Odisha: Class 10 girl raped on way to school; youth detained  

Paralakhemundi: A school girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in Ramagiri police station area of Gajapati district today. However, police have detained the accused and are interrogating him.

Sources said when the girl, a Class 10 student, was going to school, a youth abducted her and took her to an isolated place and raped her.

Later, the girl narrated her plight before her family members, following which her uncle lodged a complaint with police. Acting on the complaint, the cops detained the accused and are interrogating him in this connection.

Yesterday, a complaint was lodged with Government Railway Police (GRP) in Cuttack by Child Line officials alleging that a 15-year-old girl of Angul was held captive and gang raped by five miscreants in Cuttack for around three days.
