Bhubaneswar: The second campus of Ravenshaw University in Odisha’s Cuttack city is almost ready to hold classes from 2023-24 academic year.
This was revealed by Vice-Chancellor Sanjay K. Nayak recently.
The state government and Ravenshaw University Syndicate have given their nod to shift the departments of ITM, IST, JMC and BBA to the second campus of the varsity, built on 126 acre land at CDA Sector-13 area of Cuttack, in the first phase, Nayak said.
However, the classes of ITM and IST will be held at the second campus of the varsity from July this year, Nayak added.
Around 2,000 students are pursuing various courses under the ITM and IST departments of Ravenshaw. Two separate academic blocks have been constructed for the two departments at the second campus, Nayak said.
Ravenshaw second campus has all necessary facilities including smart classrooms, special computer rooms, hostels, administrative block, library, health centre, playground, bank, cafeteria and placement cells, said the Vice-Chancellor.
“Steps are being taken to hold the classes of all self-financing courses at the second campus of the varsity in the coming days,” he added.
