Odisha CM, 5 Cabinet colleagues to visit Bargarh tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and five of his cabinet colleagues are scheduled to visit Bargarh district tomorrow (February 19).

The Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay stones for several developmental projects at Padampur, Paikmal and Jharbandh blocks during his visit to Bargarh district tomorrow, said an official.

According to sources, the Chief Minister will arrive at Satibhata airstrip at Padampur at 11 am tomorrow. Then, he will travel to Jharbandh in a chopper.

“The Chief Minister will inaugurate some projects and lay stones for others at an event at Jharbandh. A video film on the developmental projects in the block will be screened on the occasion. The Chief Minister will hand over cheques to Mission Shakti Women Self-Help Groups at the event,” said the official.

Planning and Convergence Minister Rajendra Dholkia, Padampur MLA Barsha Singh Bariha, Baramba MLA Debi Prasad Mishra and Bhatli MLA Susanta Singh will attend the Chief Minister’s Programme at Jharbandh, added the official.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to reach Paikmal at 12.30 pm. He will inaugurate and lay stones for various developmental projects at the block.

Industry Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, Water Resources Minister Tukuni Sahu, Handlooms and Textiles and Handicrafts Minister Rita Sahu among others will speak on the occasion, sources said.

The Chief Minister will reach Padampur at 3.45 pm and felicitate the members of women SHGs at an event in the block.

He will launch several developmental projects on the occasion. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari and Bargarh MLA Debesh Acharya among others will speak at the event, said the official.
