Odisha CM among key individuals being watched by China

Bhubaneswar: Key political figures and personalities from different sectors in India have been tracked by Zhenhua Data Information Technology Co. Ltd, a Shenzhen-based tech company in southeastern China.

As per an investigation carried out by The Indian Express, over 10,000 Indians have been monitored by Zhenhua which is reportedly having ties with the Chinese government and Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi and their families are among the key individuals of India being tracked by Zhenhua.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan are the other political figures being tracked by the Chinese company, The Indian Express reported.

Military heads and former Chief of the Army, Navy and Air Force are also in the list of the database compiled by Zhenhua.

Chief Justice of India Sharad Bobde and brother Judge AM Khanwilkar, Lokpal Justice PC Ghose and Comptroller and Auditor General GC Murmu have also been tracked.

Shashi Tharoor, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda, Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Meenakshi Lekhi, Abhishek Banerjee (Mamata’s nephew) and Divya Spandana are also being watched.

Zhenhua collects information from web and social media platforms, research papers, articles, patents, recruitment positions and other multiple sources, the report added.
