Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made significant announcements, including granting 15 days of casual leave per year for employees of all government-aided educational institutions in the state. Additionally, women employees will now receive paid maternity leave spanning 180 days.

The decision follows proposals submitted by employees of aided educational institutions across various districts during the visit of 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian. After thorough deliberation, the CM has given his approval to the proposal.

This move is expected to benefit approximately 33,420 employees, comprising both teaching and non-teaching staff, who are employed in 2560 high schools, 940 UP schools, 39 Sanskrit tolls, and 138 Madrasas throughout the state.
