Kendrapara: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the post-cyclone situation in Kendrapara and announced a package for facilitating restoration work in the district.
"As many as 30 cyclone shelters at the rate of Rs 2 crore each will be constructed in vulnerable locations. For repair of damage caused to school buildings, Anganwadi centres and public utility assets owned by the panchayats, an assistance of Rs 2 lakh per structure will be provided," the CM said.
"I have directed the district administration to immediately take steps for implementing the livelihood package for self-help groups, farmers and fishermen," said Patnaik.
"I assure you that not a single eligible person will be left out. Wherever there are gaps in embankments, that would be strengthened," he added.
