Expressing grief over the loss of precious lives in the bus accident at Tukuda in Angul district today Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.

Besides, the Chief Minister also announced for free treatment to the injured.

At least four persons were killed and 36 others were injured in an accident when a private bus 'Janhamamu' skidded off a bridge near Tukuda, about 20 km away from Angul. The ill-fated bus was travelling from Angul to Athmallik when the accident occurred. The bus reportedly skidded off the bridge while trying to save a biker. The biker has been also killed in the accident.
