Odisha CM appeals Nizamuddin returnees to voluntarily come forward for COVID-19 test

Bhubaneswar: After three persons with link Tablighi Jamaat meet were found positive for COVID-19 in the state yesterday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today appealed to all Nizamuddin returnees to come forward voluntarily and get  the test done as soon as possible.

In his appeal, Patnaik said, ‘I request all those who had attended the Nizamuddin event last month to call on Toll Free number-104 immediately, follow the doctor’s advice and get the test done in 24 hours. If delayed, your entire family will be at  stake.”

Stating that coronavirus is the worst enemy against humanity, the CM sought cooperation from all the people of the state to defeat it.

“Do not panic. I and and my Government is  always with you. I would also  like to request  all the women in the state to cooperate with us for the safety of their family members,” said a communique issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) today.
