Odisha CM distributes houses to slum dwellers in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today distributed houses and land patta (Record of Rights) to slum dwellers under Mission Abaas housing scheme here in the city.

Attending a mega public rally at Janata Maidan, he handed over the house keys to 110 slum dwellers and RoRs to 8,600 beneficiaries residing under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

“The happiness of poor is my greatest pleasure,” said CM addressing the rally.

“The welfare of poor people has always been the top priority for his government,” he said adding, “I am always with poor and will continue work for protecting their interests.”

He termed women under the Mission Shakti as “pilot” of State’s development.

He said that his government has fulfilled its commitment.

“While the Mission Shakti women had been provided the loan at 1% interest rate in 2015, now they are being given the loan at zero percent interest rate,” he added.

Besides, he also inaugurated the housing scheme for additional 10,000 slum dwellers in the city.
