Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik received the invitation for the inauguration of the State Government's much-hyped Puri Srimandir Parikrama project.
After inviting Lord Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar for the auspicious occasion scheduled on January 17, 2024, in Puri, a 50-member delegation comprising of Srimandir Managing Committee's members, senior servitors of the Jagannath Temple, officials of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and Puri district administration visited Naveen Niwas, the residence of CM Naveen Patnaik and invited him for the grand ceremony.
Patnaik expressed his gratitude to the delegates for the invitation and offered them Gua (whole betel nut) and Chaula (rice) showing his highest respect toward Lord Jagannath.
Interacting with the delegation, CM said that the Srimandir heritage corridor project is dedicated to servitors and Puri residents. He assured that the government will provide all support for the project.
For the event, the invitation was first sent to Lord Jagannath and Puri Shankaracharya. The delegates started journey with the invitation cards from the Jagannath Temple today morning.
