Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today greeted the people of Odisha on the occasion of Nuakhai.
The PM took to Twitter and wrote in both Odia and English to convey his greetings. In his tweet, he wished for happiness and overall development of all the people, especially farmers in the state.
“Nuakhai Juhar! One of the most ancient festivals of Odisha, may this auspicious occasion further the spirit of prosperity, especially among our hardworking farmers. Praying for everyone’s good health and wellbeing,” Modi tweeted.
ନୂଆଁଖାଇ ଜୁହାର
ଓଡିଶାର ଏକ ସର୍ବପୁରାତନ ପର୍ବ ନୂଆଁଖାଇର ପବିତ୍ର ଅବସରରେ ସମାଜର ସବୁବର୍ଗ ବିଶେଷ ଭାବରେ ଆମର ପରିଶ୍ରମୀ ଚାଷୀଭାଇ ମାନଙ୍କର ସୁଖ ଓ ସମୃଦ୍ଧି କାମନା କରୁଛି । ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ଉତ୍ତମ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ଓ ଉନ୍ନତି ପାଇଁ ଭଗବାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ।

CM Naveen also took to twitter to wish the people on this occasion. In his tweet, Patnaik hoped for growth and prosperity of the farming community in the state and thereby overall development of Odisha.

Nuakhai is observed to welcome the new rice of the season, is being celebrated in western Odisha districts like Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda and Boudh.
