Dhenkanal: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the KALIA Scholarship (KALIA Chhatra Brutti) scheme at a farmers convention in Dhenkanal district.
Under the scheme, the Odisha Government will provide free professional/technical education to the children of KALIA beneficiaries in state government schools/colleges/universities.
The scholarship will cover college fees, hostel fees and mess fees from 2019-20 academic session. The scheme covers more than 13 disciplines in professional/technical education and more than 11 technical and diploma courses across 150 institutions.
The courses covered under the KALIA Chhatra Brutti are: BE/B.Tech/MMBS/BDSBHMS/B.Pharma/B.Sc (Nursing)/B.Sc(Agriculture)/B.Sc (Horticulture)/BVSC/DIPLOMA/POLY.TECH/IT.
Children of KALIA beneficiaries who fulfill the requisite criteria of the scholarship can apply online through the portal– www.Kalia.co.in/scholarship. The scholarship will be sent to the bank account of respective students directly.
