Local Congress MLA and Leader of the Opposition Party (LoP) Narasingh Mishra and BJD Rajya Sabha member Ananga Uday Singhdeo were present during the foundation laying ceremony.

I myself and the Patnagarh MLA had visited the Chief Minister to urge him to take up various developmental works in Balangir district. BJD friends too had assured to accompany us; but for some reason they backed out. We had 20 minutes of discussion with him and we hope the Chief Minister will pay attention and take steps for  the development and progress of Balangir district,” said Narasingh Mishra.

“Earlier in the past, we had tried for a medical college in Balangir district on several occasions. But this time, it’s happening 100%. The project has an allocation of Rs 170 crore. Surely, our much desired medical college will come up. Apart from this, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stones for different projects,” said BJD Rajya Sabha member Ananga Uday Singhdeo.
