Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today laid foundation stones for two mega green hydrogen and green ammonia projects at Gopalpur in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited will set up its green ammonia plant at Gopalpur with an investment of Rs 27,000 crore.
The green ammonia plant, with 1.10 MMTPA capacity, is likely to generate employment opportunities for 3,700 youths, said an official.
Similarly, Avaada Green H2 Private Limited will set up its green hydrogen/ammonia production facility at Gopalpur with an investment of Rs 8,000 crore.
The project (0.5 MTPA capacity) will create employment opportunities for at least 1,500 youths, added the official.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation for a ‘Utility Corridor’ between Gopalpur port and Tata Steel SEZ at the port town. The corridor will be constructed at an expenditure of Rs 128.88 crore, sources said.
Moreover, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for developmental projects worth Rs 3,952 crore in Ganjam district.
