Odisha CM leaves for New Delhi to meet PM Modi

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today left for New Delhi, where he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 11.

He is expected to take up several key issues concerning Odisha including the demand for Special Category State status and financial assistance to tackle natural calamities.

Patnaik is also slated to meet President Ram Nath Kovind on the very day.

The CM will also attend the 5th meeting of the governing council of NITI Aayog on June 15 and is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar the same evening.

“I will be meeting PM Modi, regarding mainly the damage done by Cyclone Fani and the funds the Centre can give us for that. Also, I have an appointment with the President whom I will be seeing and I will be attending NITI Aayog meeting,” the CM told reporters in Delhi.
