Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik reacts to BJP’s ‘trembling’ hands remark via video message

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took on the BJP for allegedly mocking him over ‘non-issues’ during the ongoing twin elections in Odisha.

Reacting to a video in which 5T Chairman and BJD’s chief election strategist VK Pandian is seen controlling the trembling hand of Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik while the latter was addressing a public rally, Patnaik alleged the BJP of making ‘trivial’ things an issue.

“I believe the BJP, which is known to make non-issues into issues are discussing my hands. This will certainly not work,” CM Patnaik said in a video message reacting to BJP’s ‘trembling’ hands remark today.

CM Naveen’s statement came after some BJP leaders posted the video on their social media handles claiming a former bureaucrat from Tamil Nadu is controlling CM Naveen Patnaik in Odisha.

Notably, the BJP has been accusing Pandian of controlling the entire administration in Odisha. In recent marathon election campaigns, top BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had attacked the 5T Chairman and appealed to voters to change the government to save Odisha’s pride and culture from the hands of non-Odia people.
