Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik to embark on 3-day visit to Mumbai today

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will embark on a three-day visit to Mumbai from today to attend Odisha Investors’ Meet.

He is slated to meet top industrialists including Aditya Birla Group’s Chairperson Kumar Mangalam Birla, Vedanta Resources Limited’s Chairperson Anil Agarwal and Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra at Odisha Investors’ Meet scheduled at Hotel Trident in Mumbai tomorrow. He will address potential investors of different sectors at the mega industrial carnival.

Official sources said that the focus will be on establishment of target industrial sectors such as banking, fintech, chemicals, renewable energy equipment, plastics and metal downstream that are not present in Odisha. The CM is likely to apprise industry leaders of conducive business environment in the State. He is likely to invite the business magnates for Make In Odisha conclave scheduled from November 30 to December 4 in Bhubaneswar.

Ahead of CM’s visit, State Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, State Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma and other officials had left for Mumbai on August 31 for the preparation of Odisha Investors’ Meet.

This is the fourth investors meet to be attended by CM Patnaik in Mumbai after Dubai, Ahmedabad and New Delhi ahead of Make In Odisha conclave.

During his 3-day trip to Mumbai, Patnaik is scheduled to visit the Bombay Stock Exchange at Dalal Street and attend the ceremony to ring opening bell between 9 am and 9.30 am on September 15 (Thursday). He is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar in the afternoon.
