Odisha CM not to celebrate birthday tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not celebrate his birthday tomorrow in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

Announcing this, Patnaik said he will always be indebted to the people of Odisha for their blessings and love and affection and towards him.

“We all have been going through a very tough time for the last one and a half years due to COVID-19 pandemic. He requested his well-wishers not to visit Naveen Nivas tomorrow to wish him and help family  of those died  of the virus. He also requested them to donate blood and plasma on the day,” he said.

Last year also, Patnaik had not celebrated his birthday for the pandemic. He had also refrained from birthday celebrations in the previous years for cyclones Fani, Phailin, Hudhud and Titli.
