Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today ordered the DGP to conduct an inquiry into the alleged incident of police removing black stoles of women before allowing them entry into Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's meeting venue at Sundergarh district.
Patnaik also directed DGP K B Singh to see to it that no such incident is repeated in the future.
“The Chief Minister while expressing displeasure over the incident directed the DGP to conduct an inquiry into it. He also directed him to see to it that no such incident occurs in future,” informed Principal Secretary Home Asit Tripathy to reporters after his meeting with the Chief Minister.
“Today CM called us and expressed his displeasure over the Sundargarh incident. He has asked me to conduct an inquiry into the incident and find out who is responsible for it. He has instructed me to ensure that dignity of women is protected and such incidents are not repeated in future,” stated DGP Singh briefing reporters after the meeting.
