Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today directed the officials of the Water Resources Department for timely completion of the ongoing projects in the state.

He also asked top officers of the department to manage water efficiently during the delayed monsoon. He advised the department to be in a state of preparedness for managing possible flood situation during the ensuing monsoon.

Development Commissioner Anu Garg, who is also the Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources Department, and a team of officers met the CM today.

He stressed that the improvement of the status of the farmers of the state is a top priority of his government and the department has a key role to play in making water available to them.

He further exhorted all the officers of the department to work with utmost sincerity, transparency and dedication for ensuring greater benefit for the farmers.
