Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated three meritorious tribal youths for their recent achievement in all India entrance examinations.

The Chief Minister gave laptops to Narayan Mallik from Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district who cracked the prestigious AIIMS entrance and Rajanikant Nayak, Kailash Chandra Bhakta who cleared the IIT-JEE examination this year.
“I congratulate them for achieving such feat despite financial hurdles,” Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said.
At the function at the state secretariat, Chief Minister announced that state government would bear the expenses incurred towards study and boarding during their course period.
Besides, the Chief Minister wished them luck for their future endeavours.
It may be mentioned here that Narayan Mallik secured 13th position in the AIIMS entrance in Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, Rajanikant Nayak from Denua village under Baruan block of Mayurbhanj district secured all India ST rank of 245 in the IIT-JEE and Kailash Chandra Bhakta hailing from Dahibhata village near Nabarangpur town had bagged a rank of 1,114 among the tribal candidates.
Law Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh, Sports and Youth Services Minister Sudam Marandi, Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, MLAs Manohar Randhari and Mangal Singh Mudi, Chief Secretary AP Padihi, Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan, among others were present on the occasion.
