Bhubaneswar: Good news for wildlife lovers as an adventure coffee table book on famous Massai Mara wilderness, authored by Puri King Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb, is now released.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the book ‘Majestic Mara’ in Bhubaneswar today.
The travelogue features Puri Gajapati’s rich illustrations and memoirs from his expedition at Maasai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya. It showcases beautiful shots by professional photographers — Asish Dhir, Dillip Dhir Samant and Amarjyoti Singhdeo — from Odisha during their 8-day tour last year. The scene was videographed by Gajapati.
“In August 2018, a team from Odisha had visited the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya and saw the great migration of wildebeest. The professional photographers from Bhubaneswar clicked the still photographs,” said Gajapati King.
The film will be screened and photographs of the safari will be showcased at 6.30 pm at an exhibition at Lalit Kala Academy in Bhubaneswar today.
All are invited to witness Massai Mara photo exhibition and film at the venue from 11.30 am till 7.30 pm between Nov 17 and 22, Gajapati told reporters.
