Odisha CM releases books on Haj pilgrimage

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik today released two books authored by Dr Mohammad Ayub, member of Odisha State Haj Committee and published by the Haj Committee of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said the two books—‘Sahaj Haj’ and ‘Umrah Guide’— provide necessary information that would be of immense help to the Odisha Haj pilgrims.

Among others, chairperson of Odisha State Haj Committee Ayub Khan, Dr Hamid Hussain, Sajan Khan, secretary Mohammad Azghar, Syed Tanvir Ahmed, Munna Khan, Nur Rehmat Ali, Wakf Board members Akram Hussain, SK Manohar, MD Mobin and two local MLAs Pravat Ranjan Biswal and Debashis Samantray were present on the occasion.

It may be mentioned here that Muslims from Odisha face problems during their pilgrimage to Umrah and Haj due to lack of relevant information.

However, these two books would be of great help to them during their pilgrimage to Umrah and Haj this year.

Nearly 600 Muslims from Odisha are likely to go on Haj pilgrimage this year.
