Odisha CM urges Union Min to extend registration date for JEE (Advanced)

Bhubaneswar: In view of the damage caused by cyclonic storm FANI in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today wrote to Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar urging the latter to extend the last date of registration for JEE (Advanced).

“Due to non-availability of internet after Fani, brilliant Odia students have not been able to register their names online for the examination. In view of the disruption caused by FANI cyclone, it is necessary to extend the registration date by at least ten 10 days,” the CM said in the letter.

JEE (Advanced)-2019 is scheduled to be held on May 27 and the last date of registration for candidates is May 9.

Worth mentioning, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was postponed in the state after the cyclone.
