Berhampur: In a novel way to create awareness among people against evil practices in the society, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange today announced cash reward of Rs 50,000 for someone who proves existence of black magic and witchcraft.

There has been a rise in instances of crime being committed in the name of black magic or superstitious practices in Ganjam district. “If anyone can prove the presence of witchcraft, I will reward the concerned person with Rs 50,000,” Kulange added.

The Collector further said the award money will be given from his own pocket. Also, special teams will be formed to organize awareness drive at schools and colleges in the district.
