Odisha: Collectors asked to shift quarantine centres functioning at Plus II valuation zones

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of valuation of answer scripts of annual higher secondary examination 2020 from June 1, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) today asked District Collectors to either vacate or shift the quarantine centres set up at the valuation zones.

In a letter to Collectors, CHSE chairman Amarendra Kumar Pattanaik said most of the valuation zones of the council have been taken over by the district administration and have been used as quarantine centres or temporary medical centre in view of the situation arising out of COVID-19.

The valuation zones under the district jurisdiction may be vacated and shifted to the nearby primary or high schools or other suitable places, if possible. “If it is not possible to vacate the valuation zones, necessary steps may be taken for barricading of the quarantine centre separating the valuation zones for safety and security of evaluators and zone personnel and elimination of fear psychosis in the minds of evaluators,” the letter read.

Vacating the valuation centres or barricading work before the commencement of valuation may be completed by May 30, 2020.

The letter also directed the Collectors to direct the concerned municipalities or NACs to provide thermo scanner for scanning of evaluators and santiser for the evaluators and zone personnel. This apart, everyday santisation of the valuation zones must be carried out as per Covid-19 guideline of the government, it stated.
