Odisha: Commissionerate Police launches ‘Safe City’ drive in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police today launched the ‘Safe City’ drive in Bhubaneswar.

As part of the drive, as many as 50 police personnel, including some senior officials, conducted patrolling in the city here by riding motorcycles.

The Commissionerate Police constituted two teams to conduct patrolling in the city here under the Safe City drive.

The first team conducted patrolling in Ravi Talkies, Sishu Bhawan, Pokhariput, Khandagiri, Fire Station, Shiripur and Rajmahal Square areas of the capital city.

The second team conducted patrolling in Cuttack Road, Rasulgarh, Mancheswar, Nalco Square, Buddha Park, Jaydev Vihar and Housing Board areas of the city.

“The Safe City drive has been launched to keep tab on the anti-social elements and drunkards in the capital city. No one will be allowed to consume liquor or other intoxicants at public places in the city,” said a senior official of the Commissionerate Police.
