Odisha Congress MLA candidate murder: Lookout notice issued, 5 others held

Berhampur: Berhampur police issued a lookout circular today, against Bhagwan Sahu, the prime accused in the assassination of Congress poll candidate Manoj Jena.

Furthermore, five other accused have been arrested by the cops from Balugaon and Koraput railway stations, according to reports.

Police sources also revealed that two daggers and two mausers, along with three motorbikes used in the killing have also been seized.

Two notorious criminals Ganesh Nayak alias Bulu and Hrusikesh Patra, charged with the Aska Congress MLA candidate’s killing were injured during police encounter here on June 1.

Notably, such a lookout notice was issued on May 27 against seven persons accused in the murder of Jena. 12 persons have been apprehended earlier, including seven from Aska, three from Bhanjanagar and two from Bhubaneswar, for interrogation.
