Subsequently, the party will continue the protest in all districts of the State. “BJD and BJP have been playing a game of deception with the people. “Around Rs 20,000 crore was sanctioned by Odisha Government for the development of infrastructure and only Rs 5,000 crore has been given to Tata Power for the purpose, so far. Where did the remaining Rs 15,000 crore go?” the senior Congress leader questioned.

Had the fund been properly utilised, infrastructure in Odisha would have been much better. The scenario of electricity supply in rural areas is the worst ever, Pattanayak alleged.

“Odisha is a power surplus state. Why then power-cuts are being done?” the Congress leader rued.
