Odisha continues to shiver; Mercury drops below 10 degree C in 7 places

Bhubaneswar: The cold wave conditions continued unabated as temperatures plummeted in several places of Odisha in the last 24 hours.

As many as seven places recorded below 10 degree Celsius yesterday night. The mercury in Phulbani and Daringibadi stood at 6 degree Celsius making the two as the coldest places in Odisha followed by Sundargarh (8 degree C) and Bhawanipatna (9 degree C).

While Jharsuguda recorded the minimum temperature of 9.4 degree C, Boudh 9.5 degree C and Koraput 9.6 degree C yesterday night.

The minimum temperatures in Twin City Bhubaneswar and Cuttack were recorded 14 degree C and 12 degree C respectively.

According to Bhubaneswar MeT, the cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over several parts of Odisha in next 4 days.
