Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to shiver under coldwave conditions due to a drop in mercury. As many as 10 places in the state stood below 10 degree Celsius last night.

G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district and Kirei in Sundargarh district recorded minimum temperature 8 degree C, becoming the coldest places in the state.

Other places that shivered under 10 degree C were Koraput (8.6 degree C), Angul (9 degree C), Keonjhar (8 degree C), Phulbani (9 degree C), Daringibadi (9 degree C), Ranital (9.6 degree C), Sundargarh (9.8 degree C) and Rourkela (9.8 degree C).

People of Twin City Cuttack and Bhubaneswar experienced severe cold as the minimum temperature dropped to 13.5 degree C on Sunday night.
