Odisha cop arrested for harassing class-IX girl
Sambalpur: A jawan of OSAP 1st SS Battalion has been arrested for allegedly harassing and threatening a class-IX girl in Dhanupali area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district.
The arrested has been identified as Suresh Bibhar (30) of Gadaloisingh village in Jujumara area. Acting on a complaint lodged by the minor girl, police have registered a case against the accused.

According to reports, Bibhar was the tutor of the girl before his recruitment and had an one-sided love affair with her. Six months ago, Bibhar had proposed the girl, which was rejected by her.
In a fit of rage, he had started harassing the girl by threatening her over phone to kill her. The accused had also uploaded the photo of the girl as his profile pic on his Facebook account.
