Odisha cop killed on way to PS in road mishap

Keonjhar: A police official was killed on his way to police station after being hit by an SUV here in Odisha's Keonjhar district.

The deceased cop was identified as Moris Kujur, the ASI of Jhumpura Police Station.

According to reports, the incident took place near Jhumpura bypass on National Highway 20 in the morning when Kujur was travelling on his bike and a speeding SUV (Bolero) hit his vehicle.

The victim was admitted to the Jhumpura Community Health Centre (CHC) where the doctors declared him dead.

The police seized the SUV and detained the driver for investigation into the incident.
