Odisha cop suspended on corruption charges

Cuttack: Taking stern action, the Cuttack DCP today placed Special Squad Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Arjun Kanhar under suspension on charges of corruption.

This was informed by the Police Headquarters here today.

Reliable sources said acting on a corruption allegation leveled against the cop, the Commissionerate Police had directed the Cuttack DCP to initiate an inquiry in this connection. After obtaining evidence against the ASI, Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh suspended Kanhar from his service.

However, no official confirmation has been received in this connection till yet.
