Acting on a complaint by one of the parents, Kendrapara police today arrested the secretary of OSCAR Science College at Derabish in the district.

The accused identified as Umesh Chandra Sahu allegedly misbehaved with guardians of the students when they asked for TC.

“We have arrested Umesh Chandra Sahu for misbehaving with some of the guardians whose children are studying in the college. They had applied for TC but the college did not provide it,” Kendrapara Sadar police station IIC Nilakantha Prasad Patra said.

Notably, the guardians had been making the rounds of the day-cum-residential college to apply for TC. But, they found the college closed since past one month.

When they feared for their children’s career, they asked the authorities to provide TC so that they can get them admitted to other colleges. However, they were allegedly ill-treated by the authorities.
