Odisha cops nab two in Mayadhar murder case

Dhenkanal police today arrested two persons in connection with Mayadhar Pradhan murder case.

The two accused Ranjan Behera and Ambuja Das were arrested by a special squad of the Dhenkanal police, reports said.

Notably, one Mayadhar Pradhan was murdered on the day of Holi in Gondia.

The murder is said to be the fallout of political rivalry between two groups during the recently concluded panchayat elections in the state.

Mayadhar had a bickering with another rival political group during the panchayat elections. He and his brother had lodged a complaint at the police station in this regard.

While the duo was returning from the police station, Mayadhar was attacked by the rival group near Koseida chhak with sticks leading his death.
