Odisha Plus II Science students to get answer sheets on email

While online application for re-evaluation of answer sheets of Plus II examination is all set to begin, Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has decided to provide soft copies of answer sheets of all subjects to students of science stream who have appeared the examination this year.

For this, the desirous students would have to apply online by filling up requisite form and paying fees. Besides, the applicant would have to provide his/her personal e-mail id to which the soft copies would be inboxed.

“After the re-assessment is over, the students will be sent the soft/scanned copies of the answer sheets along with the revised marks within 15-20 days of application. The application fee has been fixed at Rs 200 per subject,” a senior official of the Council said.

Having lessons learnt the hard way from previous years, the Council is taking no chances to confront further embarrassment.

Notably, the application for re-addition of marks reached 60, 000 last year due to discrepancies and complaints over evaluation. Students and guardians made a beeline to the Council office here which led to chaotic situation followed by vandalism and unruly scenes. To avoid such scenes, the Council has introduced online application facility for re-addition of marks this year.

Earlier, the students had to wait for 6-8 months to get revised marks. With the online facility, the hassles would be minimised and process would be expedited. The Council has fixed the fees for re-addition of marks per answer sheet at Rs 200.

It may be mentioned that around 94, 000 students from science stream have appeared Plus II examination this year. The students can avail this facility this year on request. This service will be extended to arts and commerce students after the infrastructure is ready, authorities said.
